What are guestbooks?
In museums or art galleries you will often find a book near the exit for guests to leave their comments. Other guests, the management and the artists can then see what people thought of their visits. An online guestbook works in much the same way, you create a link to a page hosted by LemNet.com, and your visitors leave their comments. The feedback you get from these comments can really help you improve your site, perhaps they suggest new ideas, or think that something you have just doesn't work. They may just praise your site, and its always nice to know you are doing a good job.

Services Upgrades
We have recently upgraded the view and sign guestbook pages to take advantage of some of the new features in recent web browsers. Because we realise that, as with any upgrade of this kind, some users may prefer the original version we have not changed any existing guestbooks (except a few colour changed needed to make the two versions compatible).

How do I take advantage of the upgrades?
All you need to do is change the links to the view and sign guestbook pages. The new links can be found by selecting the 'Get the HTML code for' option in the members area.
Any new guestbooks you create will automatically be in the new style.

What about people using old browsers?
The new guestbook pages work in Netscape 6+ (and other Mozilla/Gecko browsers), Internet Explorer 5+, Safari (and other KHTML browsers) and Opera 7. Together these four browser families account for around 98% of all internet users. Anyone using a browser which does not support the required features will be forwarded to the old-style guestbook pages.
